France to supply Russia with "Mistral" without technological restrictions

The manufacture of "Mistral" helicopter carriers, the French
state-owned naval shipbuilding company DCNS, will not limit the
technology transfer to Russia, RIA Novosti was informed on Tuesday by
the director of DCNS, Pierre Legros.

Previously, some Russian and foreign media reported that "Mistral"
ships will be sold to Russia without advanced control systems.

Russia intends to purchase four ships of the type "Mistral" in France,
provided that two ships be built in France and two in Russia.

The universal "Mistral" helicopter carrier has a displacement of
21,000 tons and a maximum hull length of 210 meters. It is capable of
speeds exceeding 18 knots. The crew may amount to 160, an additional
helicopter carrier is capable of accommodating 450 people.
