Armenian government has approved the strategy of reforming the system
of managing state finances on Thursday. Armenian Finances Minister
Tigran Davtyan said that the strategy is planned for 2011-2020 and is
the basis of managing state finances, Arka reports.
The minister said that the strategy was developed with the assistance
of the World Bank and European exporters. Davtyan said that the main
goals of the state finances are development and the realization of the
state budget, as well as presentation of budget accounts, audit.
Davtyan said that the strategy pays special attention to macroeconomic
indicators, strategic planning, management of state debt, state
purchases, audit and monitoring.
The primary goal of the strategy is improvement of efficiency of the
management of state finances.
Premier Tigran Sarkisyan noted that successful realization of the
strategy requires studying international experience, and the formation
of a special working group.
