'ArmRosgazprom' continues to hold the position of Armenia's biggest taxpayer, having paid 12.9 billion drams (approx. $35.8 million) in tax in the last 9 months, according to a list published by the committee on state revenue on 28 October. It should be noted that revenue from 'ArmRosgazprom' has fallen sharply of late, from 5 billion drams in the second quarter of the year to 2.9 billion drams in the third, probably due to falling demand as a result of rising prices in the republic, news.am reports. Other companies contributing large amounts to the state budget were the company 'Aleks Grig', owned by state deputy Samvel Aleksanyan and 'K-Telecom', followed by 'ArmenTel' and 'Oranzh Armenia'.
