AZAL aircraft which urgently returned to Istanbul lands in Baku

A Boeing-757 200 aircraft, en route from Istanbul to Baku, which urgently returned to Ataturk International Airport last night, set out for Baku again this morning at 05:25 (Istanbul Time), Trend reports.

According to an official announcement by Ataturk International Airport, the aircraft made an emergency landing due to technical reasons. The aircraft is owned by CJSC "Azerbaijani Airlines". Some 221 passengers were on board.

"The flight was successful," an airport representative said. AZAL’s Boeing 757 landed in Baku at 09:44, AZAL’s chief of service, Maharram Safarli, told APA.
