South Caucasus Railways (SCR), the concessional manager of Armenian
rail roads, is switching its accounting to international standards,
Arka reports, citing the company.
The accountants of the South Caucasus Railways company are having
re-training from October 25 to November 6, organized by the
international audit and consulting group BDO Unikon. The re-training
will improve the skills of the staff according to international
standards.
The press-release says that the accounting program has already been
prepared and is being implemented.
SCR plans to conclude the finance year with account of the
international finance standards.
SCR is a sister company of the Russian Railways. It carries out
concessional management of Armenian Railways, according to a
concessional agreement signed on February 13, 2008. The agreement has
a 30-year term and can be prolonged by 10 years.
