Azerbaijani President visits areas affected in summer by floods

New houses were built for people whose homes were destroyed during the
disaster on the territory of Imishli. The disaster occurred in April
and May this year as a result of the flooding of the Kura and Araks
Rivers, Trend reports.

The Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, attended the opening of new
houses, the state news agency reported.

The minister for Emergency Situations, Kamaladdin Heydarov, said that
the area of the 104 newly-built houses covers 40 hectares. In
addition, a school for 132 pupils, a post office, a club, a library, a
medical center and a substation have been built and a park has been
founded.
