Amount of tourists increases in Adjara

In January-October of 2010, 890,705 people visited Adjara. According
to the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara, 602,908 of them
were internal visitors and 287,797 - foreigners, Business-Georgia
reports.

For comparison, in January-October 2009 497,526 visitors came to
Adjara, including 348,928 domestic and 148,598 foreigner visitors.

During the reporting period, the highest number of visitors came from
Turkey - 122,548 people. Adjara has been also visited by 40,169
Azerbaijani citizens and 96,276 citizens of Armenia.
