The government of the Stavropol Territory and Hevel company (a joint
venture of Renova and state corporation Rosnano) signed a contract on
Tuesday to construct the first Russian industrial solar power plant in
Kislovodsk, RIA Novosti reports.
The agreement involves joint realization of the investment project for
construction of the facility. It was signed within the framework of
the RUSNANOTECH 2010 forum by the governor of Stavropol Territory
Valery Gayevsky and the head of Hevel Yevgeny Zagorodny.
The head of Rosnano, Anatoly Chubais, emphasized at the ceremony that
it is the first Russian industrial solar power plant.
It will produce 12.3 megawatts. Chubais noted that all other Russian
solar power plants could produce no more than a few hundred kilowatts.
He said that the Stavropol Territory has approximately 300 sunny days.
The third forum for nanotechnologies RUSNANOTECH 2010 opened on
November 1 at Expocenter in Moscow. Scientists and officials from all
