Arabic company denies selling its share of Poti port

The Rak Group denies rumors it has sold its stake in the Poti port.
The company said that it plans to put part of the port's shares up for
sale in 2011 at the stock exchange, Business Georgia reports.

RAK Group has been operating in Georgia since 2006 and is one of the
largest investors.

The company started the construction of a free industrial zone in Poti
in 2008. It will open on November 23, 2010. The license for operating
in the zone was issued to 20 companies from various countries,
including Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, and the
UAE. Their number is expected to increase by the end of this year.

The group improved the port's production, built a new mooring, and is
rebuilding the existing infrastructure. In 2013 Poti will have a new
international airport.
