Russian Statistics Agency carries out census of over 141.2 million Russians

The Russian Statistics Agency has carried out a census of 141.2
million people with full-time residence in Russia within the
All-Russian Census. 285,200 people are temporary in Russia.
Preliminary results of the census will be available in April 2011, the
agency's website says.


The agency noted that the report may be updated with information from
the quantity of filled in census forms of citizens abroad, as well as
inhabitants of hard-to-reach regions of the Buryat Republic, the
Sverdlovsk and Tyumen regions, and the Yamalo-Nenetsk autonomy, where
the census will take place in November-December 2010.


The census was held on October 14-25, 2010.
