Car production launched in Cherkessk

A ceremony to launch a conveyor line of Chinese car packaging of the
Haima brand took place in the capital of Karachay-Cherkessia today at
the "Mercury" group's Derways car plant, RIA Novosti reports.

By the end of this year 900 cars are expected to be assembled. The
first batch will go to the dealers on about the 15th of November.

"By 2014, production and sales of cars at the factory Haima should
reach 40,000 units a year," the director of the "Mercury" group,
Hadgi-Murat Derev, said.
