Azerbaijan buys its first Boeing 747-400 F

The Azerbaijani Airlines, "Silkway" acquired the first aircraft Boeing
747-400 F from the company “Carqolux Airlines İnternational,” 1news.az
reports.

The director of the Civil Aviation Administration, Arif Mammadov said
that the main aim of the acquisition of the aircraft Boeing 747-400 F
is to make Baku a coordinator between East and West in future.
Mammadov noted that more of these aircraft will be bought in the near
future.

“In addition, other Azerbaijani companies are expected to purchase
Boeing 747-400 F aircraft in 2011,” Mammadov said.
