Krasnodar Territory to establish rice farmer union

Krasnodar Territory will establish the southern rice farmer union for
coordination of the sphere, the regional agriculture and processing
industry department said, Yuga.ru reports.

The union will consist of the enterprises of Krasnodar Territory as
well as the leading rice growing enterprises of South Russia.

The department also said that this year the farmers of Kuban have
harvested record amounts of rice, the gross harvest reached 908,900
tons, which is a 108,600 ton increases compared with last year.

The department's press-service said that the goal is to preserve the
harvest, and process the rice. Kuban has enough enterprises allowing
it to process over 1 million tons of rice annually.
