Turkey to take part in establishing technopark of Leningrad Region

Turkish investors plan to take part in constructing a modern
technopark on the territory of the Leningrad Region, RIA Novosti
reports, citing the region’s government.


Turkish Deputy of Exterior Commerce, Ahmet Yakidzhi, presented a
memorandum, signed by the Trade and Industry Chamber of the Leningrad
Region, the Industrial Chamber of Ankara (Turkey) and Renaissance
Construction Holding.


The Vice-Governor of the Leningrad Region, Grigory Dvas, noted that
the government is ready to offer its full support in realizing the
industrial park project, and that local laws provide sufficient
benefits for investors.


An agreement based on the memorandum is planned to be signed at the
end of this year. The construction may start in 2012.


The press service of the region’s government clarified that Governor
Valery Serdukov had noted on various occasions that the establishment
of industrial zones and technoparks provides important stimulation for
investment and innovative activities of business and development of
economic potential.
