The Dagestani government and AGRIKO (an agriculture investment
company) have signed an agreement in Makhachkala on November 12, RIA
Novosti reports.
The Chairman of the Dagestani government Magomed Abdulayev, head of
AGRIKO Vladimir Bovin, deputy chairman of the government Murat
Shikhsaidov and heads of ministries and agencies of the republic were
at the ceremony.
The premier said that the project is worth over 11 billion rubles.
Three high-tech complexes will be built in the Karabudakhkent region.
One of them will treat, pack, store and process vegetables. The second
will receive, butcher and process meat of large and small cattle,
utilizing waste. The third complex will transport the products. The
Kizlyar region will also have a rice-processing factory.
Bovin noted that the project may become the stimulation for
development of agriculture in Dagestan. It provides economic growth
and employment.
Bovin and Shikhsaidov noted that the project will be realized in 2014.
