Georgia to introduce 911 emergency phone number

Georgia is introducing a 911 phone number for all emergency services
in accordance with the American emergency number, News Georgia
reports, referring to the press service of Tbilisi City Hall.

The 911 number will start operating in two years. Its implementation
has already started.

The first phone rescue service, number 911, was launched in 1968 in
Alabama, USA. Nowadays in the US there are more than six thousand
control centers operating the 911 number.
