Kaliningrad’s Khabrovo airport has temporarily stopped flights due to volcanic eruptions in Iceland, ITAR-TASS reports, citing an airport spokesperson.
According to the spokesperson, the cloud of volcanic dust is dangerous for airplanes. She also said that both Lithuania and Latvia have closed their airspaces.
Britain, Scandinavian countries, Benelux countries and Germany closed their airspaces on Thursday. All airports were closed, and flights cancelled.
Aeroflot cancelled over 20 flights to Europe and Kaliningrad region.
