The third round of negotiations with BP Executives in the second stage of development at the Shakh Deniz-2 field is planned for November 12, Supply & Trading Executive Director Stefan Judisch said, Oil and Gas Eurasia reports.
"We are negotiating with Shakh Deniz counter-agents and I am optimistic on Nabucco," he said, adding that a short list of buyers for stage two Shakh Deniz gas would be drafted by December 25.
"The final buyers will be announced in the first quarter of 2011," he said.
Judisch also noted that the Nabucco consortium had achieved some success in negotiations with potential suppliers, such as suppliers in Iraqi Kurdistan.
"We need to establish a network of suppliers. As soon as we do that, the project will get moving," he said.
Judisch denied information alleging that supplies of Iraqi gas to Europe would not materialise until 2020, 1news.az reported citing Reuters.
