Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR) intends to realize a number of projects aimed at the reconstruction of enterprises and members of the Azerkimya production association, Trend reports, citing SOCAR’s Vice President for Ecology Mukhtar Babayev.
Earlier Azerbaijan’s president integrated Azerkimya into SOCAR. Mukhtar Babayev was appointed the supervisor of the reconstruction and integration process.
According to Babayev, Azerkimya has great economic and staff potential, however, most of its enterprises and installations are outdated. SOCAR is planning a number of major projects to reconstruct the enterprises.
“We hope that that we will start realizing them in the near future,” Babayev said. He added that both local and foreign companies will be used to realize the projects.
