The president of SOCAR (the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani
Republic), Rovnag Abdullayev, met a delegation headed by the co-chair
of the Japanese-Armenian economic commission, president of the sector
of energy and mineral resources of Itochu corporation Yoichi Kobayasi,
a message of SOCAR says, Trend reports.
Kobayasi said that Itochu has special faith in the oil and gas project
Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and hopes to take more part in it.
He said that the company is also interested in trading oil and oil
products with SOCAR in global scale and in cooperating in
petrochemical sphere.
Abdullayev said that Turkey granted permission to SOCAR for
construction of a new oil refinery with an output of 10 million tons
annually.
Abdullayev believes that improvement of cooperation between the two
companies is possible in other projects and SOCAR will view each
proposal attentively, as well as proposals from other companies.
