Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has met the president of
SOCAR (the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic), Rovnag
Abdullayev, APA reports, citing the official website of Lukashenko.
At the meeting the president of Belarus expressed interest in
cooperating with Azerbaijan in energy resource issues. In particular,
he said that Belarus is interested in purchasing oil from Azerbaijan
using the swap-scheme (replacing oil from Venezuela, which will be
sold on the US market).
