Georgia will switch to program budget in 2012, head of the budget
department of the Georgian Finance Ministry Georgy Kakauridze said at
a seminar for journalists in Borzhomi. He said that switching to the
new system will make the budget as clear as possible, Business Georgia
reports.
The current system only states the structure receiving state
financing, but not the way it is used.
Kakauridze said that the program budget according to the new system is
already functioning in the ministries of education, execution,
justice, healthcare, agriculture and ecology.
