Georgia improves traffic safety

On December 1, Georgia will make safety belts obligatory, according to
the Code of Administrative Violations, News Georgia reports.

The safety belts will be obligatory for the drivers but not
passengers. The fine for violating the law will be $23, if the penalty
will not be paid on time it will be increased by $85. If a driver
fails to pay late fees and the fine he will lose the driver's license
for a year. A driver does not need examination to return the license,
however he still needs to pay the fine.

If the violation will be fixed on a video or a photograph the fine
will be sent to the driver's home address and will require paying
within 30 days. If a driver refuses to pay the late fee his vehicle
will be sold according to the Georgian law.
