Georgia expects 10% inflation

The National Bank of Georgia expects inflation to reach 10.6% by the
end of this year, Business Georgia reports.

The bank said that the increase is due to rising prices for bakery
products and grains. The global prices for wheat have also risen. The
prices for meat, milk products, eggs and sunflower oil will be
affected as well.

The last time Georgia registered a two-digit inflation figure was in 2007.
