The state committee for standards and patents of Azerbaijan has
approved the state standard for buildings and vehicle of stations.
The standard concerns the buildings of passenger stations, bus stops,
means of passenger and car transport and determines the main
requirements for registering distinctive marks, indicators and other
information.
The press-secretary of the committee Fazil Talyby said that taxis of
every city and district will have peculiar colours. For example, the
taxi in Baku will be purple, in Sumgait - white, in Gyandzh - grey.
Intercity taxis will have a dark red colour. The taxi doors will have
an emblem and the name of the city. Intercity taxis will have a
distinctive sign.
The device panel will have a telephone number of the transport
operator written and information about the driver. The taxis will have
a GPS system, a taximeter, monitoring center GPS-GSM and a GPS device.
The buses will have their numbers on an electronic panel, the name of
the starting and ending stations.
All bus stations will indicators of all bus stops with an interval of
15 minutes, the time of start and ending of bus work. The main
requirement for taxi stops is that they should be able to hold 3
taxis.
The committee says that the standards are obligatory for legal bodies
and individuals working in passenger and cargo transport spheres.
The new standards are coming into force on December 13.
