The Armenian parliament has approved the state budget for 2011. 80
deputies of the National Assembly voted for the document - 14
counter-voted, two abstained, News.am reports.
Presenting the final version of the document, Armenian Prime Minister
Tigran Sarkisyan, said that the project corresponds to the situation
in Armenia. He agreed with the opposition that there are many
unresolved problems.
The prime minister noted that the government will be consistent in
distributing the tax load, improvement of business, reduction of shady
economy. He admitted that the document has high risks, but reassured
that the government will take measures to reduce them. Sarkisyan
emphasized that the state budget will be socially-oriented.
The 'Heritage' fraction 'Dashnaktsutun' voted against the budget.
