Declaration of Common Economic Space signed between Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus

In Moscow, the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan have
adopted a declaration on the formation of a Common Economic Space
(CES), RIA Novosti reports.
The declaration will come into force on January 1st 2012, marking the
beginning of a fully-functioning common economic space between the
three countries. The three presidents expressed confidence that
Kirgizia and Tadjikistan would soon join the Customs Union and the
CES, in order to deepen socio-economic integration of the countries.
Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko told a press conference that
Belarus would be the first to ratify the Declaration before January
1st 2011.
