Work on designing and building a broadband Internet network in Armenia
are close to completion, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said
on Friday at a meeting of the Council for the Promotion of IT under
the head of government, News Armenia reports.
The project for next-generation broadband telecommunications is part
of an innovative programme on the introduction of an e-society and
implementing innovative programs in the country, which was launched on
the 11th of June 2010 by the Armenian government and the World Bank
and is worth $30 million.
