The Stavropol Territory has launched a new by-pass road of the
"Caucasus" highway on the Nevinnomyssk-Stavropol route, Yuga.ru
reports.
The governor of Stavropol Territory said that construction of the road
was stopped for several years due to lack of finance. The project has
been going on for 11 years. The by-pass section is 5.3 km long. Its
realization required 2.4 billion rubles.
Stavropol Governor Valery Gayevsky said that landslides on Mount
Nedremannaya could block traffic at any time.
