Turkey and Georgia to continue electricity trade

Turkey and Georgia extended an agreement on mutual trade in
electricity. As reported today by the Anatolian Agency, a protocol was
signed by the Ministers of Energy of the two countries, Taner Yildyz
and Alexander Khetaguri, ITAR-TASS reports.

Yildyz reminded those present that the agreement signed in 2005 has
recently expired.

The Turkish minister said that the agreement on trade in electricity
is based on the understanding of the need to expand cooperation in
other projects, such as the oil pipeline passing through Baku, Tbilisi
and Ceyhan and a gas pipeline between Baku and Tbilisi Erzurum.
