Turkish company to help establish free industrial zone in Adzharia

The Turkish company Ugersans is interested in establishing a free
industrial zone in Adzharia, GHN reports.

The company’s officials have already met the Minister of Finance and
Economy of the republic, Vazha Bolkvadze. The minister described the
state of the investment climate and the approach to priority sectors.

The government of Adzharia says that attracting investment from Izmir,
one of the most advanced industrial regions of Turkey, is significant
for the region.

Adzharia is conducting negotiations on establishing a free industrial
zone covering 15 hectares in the Khelvachaur region. The project is
expected to be realized within 2 years of signing a deal. The zone
will create 4600 jobs. Companies that operate in the free industrial
zone will receive tax benefits.
