The investment project on reconstruction of the international airport
in Krasnodar will cost 20 billion rubles, according to preliminary
estimations. Its realization is planned to start in 2011, the head of
Bazel Aero Sergey Likharev said, Yuga.ru reports.
He clarified that the modernization will include the reconstruction of
the runway and the airport terminal.
The project will receive approximately 6 billion rubles of investments
from the federal budget. Bazel Aero will invest approximately 14
billion rubles on the three-stage reconstruction of the airport
complex and maintenance facilities. The company will invest its own
and invited funds.
The project involves doubling the area of the hall of international
flights in 2011 on the zero stage. On the first stage there will be
construction of a new terminal building in 2012-2013. Then they will
expand the air terminal in 2016-2017. The terminal will be further
expanded in 2022-2023, Likharev said.
He said that the airport of Krasnodar will become the 'south hub of
Russia' for traffic from the north-east to the south-west of Russia
and to Europe, North Africa, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, UAE and other
popular tourist directions.
