Iran starts reforming price regulation system

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad signed a decree on the use of
subsidies to enable a project on price reformation, Iran.ru reports.


The project will come into force on Sunday, the president clarified on
television on Saturday.


The president said that, in addition to price increases for energy
carriers, there will be an increase in prices for water, electricity
and gas. However, the reform will be gradual.


Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the subsidies are aimed at improving the
wealth of society. The new priority for the Iranian year 1389 is
reformation of the banking and tax systems and creating employment.
