Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy have signed a memorandum on establishment
of a joint venture for methane extraction from coal beds in Ukraine,
RIA Novosti cites Gazprom.
The document was signed by the head of Gazprom's board, Alexey Miller,
and the head of Naftogaz's board, Yevgeny Bakulin.
The sides will consider development of the financial-economic basis of
the joint venture, projects for the founding documents and formation
of its structures. Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy will discuss the
development of principles and sources of financing the venture and the
list of its priority projects.
