Iran improves investment opportunities

The Iranian Minister of Economy and Finances, Seyyed Shamseddin
Hosseini, said that private investments have made Kish Island
unrecognizable in the last 10 years. The minister made the statement
at an international conference on Iranian investment opportunities on
Kish Island, Iran News reports.

The number of tourists on the island has improved significantly.
Hosseini said that, unlike other countries of the Persian Gulf, where
an economic recession is taking place, Kish is seeing active
construction and realizing projects.

The minister said that Kish will have an oil stock exchange operating
in the near future. The stock exchange will focus on fuel oil deals at
first, before trading in other oil products.

The head of the Organization for Investment and Technical Support of
Iran, Bekhruz Alishiri, said that Iran has signed agreements on
promotion and mutual protection of investments with 60 countries.
Alishiri says that establishment of a center for investment services
for the provinces will play an important role.
