The Turkish Navy has seized two motorboats belonging to Somali pirates. According to the military, they also detained 12 people in an operation in the Seychelles Islands.
Iranian Naval Forces also reported fighting off a pirate attack on a supertanker carrying 300 thousand tons of oil.
The cargo was worth $150 million.
The tanker was heading from Iranian island of Khark in the Persian Gulf to Egypt. 15 pirate motorboats attempted to attack it, ITAR-TASS reports.
