The 'Orinats erkir' party is recalling Gerasim Alaverdyan from the
post of Armenian minister of agriculture, it was announced by Artur
Bagdasaryan, party leader and secretary of the National Security
Council, Armenia Today reports.
He said that the decision was made at discussions with Armenian
President Serzh Sargsyan. Bagdasaryan said that the new candidate for
the position will be announced before January 10.
Gerasim Alaverdyan became minister of agriculture in May 2009. The
quota for the post belongs to the 'Orinats erkir' party.
