Consumers demand during the New Year holidays is always high in Armenia. However, this year the price hikes are much bigger than ever, news.am reports.
Price grew very fast, including prices for ordinary eggs. In November egg prices in the capital of Armenia were 560.5 drams. Today that is about 650 drams for 10 eggs and in some places even 1000 drams. Wholesale dealers say they have egg delivery interruptions. However, that is almost impossible, as Armenia is self-sufficient in the sphere of chickens and the egg industry.
As for beef, its price in November was 2205 drams per kilo in Yerevan. On Tuesday the price of beef rose to 2700 drams per kilo (around $7.5).
