The "Millennium Challenge Corporation" has decided to allocate
financial aid to Georgia, Georgian Prime Ministerial spokesperson Niko
Mchedlishvili informed journalists, referring to a decision taken at a
meeting of the board of the corporation on the 5th of January.
According to the Mchedlishvili, at the meeting it was decided to award
two countries, Georgia and Ghana, with financial assistance. The
amount of allocated funds will be specified later, Georgia Online
reports.
According to Mchedlishvili, the funds will most probably be used to
build a new University of Technology in Batumi and to implement
infrastructure projects.
