The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) announced statistics on Azerbaijani oil export via main export pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC), ABC.az reports.
SOCAR informs that in December of 2010 sippments of oil from Turkish port Ceyhan reached 3.23 million tons against 2.96 million tons in November, 3.237 million tons in October, 2.975 million tons in September, 3.1 million tons in August, 3.5 million tons in July, 3.28 million tons in June, 3.5 million in May, 3.1 million tons in April, 2.84 million tons in March, 2.5 million tons in February, and by 2.8 million tons in January 2010 and December 2009. As a result, in December shipping rose by 9.1% as compared to the previous month.
In 2010 shipping totaled in 37.3 million tons and it is 2.8% more than shipping in 2009.
Last year export made up 36.3 million tons, and the last year’s best indicator was registered in May (3.5 million tons).
From the very beginning of BTC pipe operation from mid-2006 to 1st December 2010 export from Ceyhan totaled 141.9 million tons of Azeri oil.
