The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has provided a new loan tranche
to Georgia worth $153 million, Trend reports.
The cooperation program of the IMF and Georgia will last until June
14, 2011. It is aimed at supporting the macroeconomic policy of
Tbilisi using additional monetary reserves and to improve the
investment climate.
The Georgian Ministry of Finances said that Georgia will use the
program as a preventive measure from now on.
