Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has met with the President of the
European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, the state news agency
Azertag reports.
The participants of the meeting noted the successful development of
cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU in various fields.
During the meeting, Aliyev and Jose Manuel Barroso signed a "Joint
Declaration on the South Energy Corridor."
The head of the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the EU, Emin
Eyyubov, and head of the European Commission delegation to Azerbaijan,
Roland Kobia, signed a "Memorandum of Understanding between the
Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Commission concerning the
National Indicative Programme for 2011-2013" and a "Memorandum of
Understanding between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European
Commission on the Framework Document concerning a Comprehensive
Institutional Building."
