Construction of hydroelectric power plant in Armenia to start in April

Construction work on a hydroelectric power plant on the river Aras on
the border between Armenia and Iran will begin in April 2011, the
Armenian Minister for Energy and Natural Resources, Armen Movsisyan,
announced on Thursday, Arka.am reports.

Iran and Armenia are planning to build the two most powerful
hydroelectric power stations in the South Caucasus on the banks of the
Aras River.
