The 3-kilometer by-pass road to Bakuriani has been launched today. The
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Ramaz
Nikolaishvili was at the opening. He also observed rehabilitation of
the water system in the village, Georgia Online reports.
The minister noted that Bakuriani will now have water supplies 24
hours a day. He said that construction of the trunk pipeline is being
concluded, the pipe, wells and sewers are being replaced, and the
water treatment system capable of purifying 5,000 cubic meters of
water daily is being constructed.
Nikolaishvili said that the Swiss system is unique in Georgia.
The minister concluded that they fulfilled their promises and solved
all the communication problems for the tourism season.
