The official opening ceremony of an Armenian-British businessmen
chamber took place today. According to the chairman and founder of the
Armenian-British union and member of the chamber's council, Ayk
Arutiunyan, they came up with the idea to open the chamber a year ago
and it was realized in Yerevan. The chamber will boost
Armenian-British economic and trade relations, as well as
international investment programs in Armenia, he said, panarmenian.net
reports.
The chamber was founded by 14 members - all Armenian and British
companies in Armenia. The chamber will express the interests of its
members to the governments of the two countries.
The British ambassador to Armenia Charles Londsdale noted that the
chamber will provide its members with the necessary information and
assistance.
