26 billion rubles will be spent on the reconstruction of South Ossetia, Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin said at his meeting with Eduard Kokoyty, the president of South Ossetia.
Putin said that the income of the republic was growing. In 2008 its income was 60 million, in 2009 it was 139 million, 167 million are projected in 2010, he added.
One billion rubles was gathered by charity, mostly from the Russian Federation.
10 billion rubles were invested by "Gazprom" and 2 billion by the
government of Moscow for construction of a new neighbourhood.
