The first section of the Adler-"Alpica-service' combined road starts working

The head of the Russian Railroads company, Vladimir Yakunin, has announced that the first section of the combined rail and automobile road between Adler and the mountain resort "Alpica-service" has started working, reports RIA Novosti.
The launch of the road will improve traffic conditions near the airport and around the Olympic facilities.
The 2.2 kilometer-long section of road has 2 interchanges and 8 bridges. The volume of traffic is estimated to reach about 25,000 vehicles a day.
The total length of the combined road is 124.5 km and includes 6 tunnels, 36 railway bridges and 21 automobile bridges. It is planned to be completed within 5 years.
