Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad discussed the agenda of Russian-Iranian relations in a
telephone conversation on Monday and agreed on further development of
mutually beneficial cooperation, the Kremlin press service informs,
RIA Novosti reports.
Among the most promising areas of cooperation in energy cooperation,
the Bushehr nuclear power plant was mentioned.
A meeting between the European Union High Representative for Foreign
Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, and the Secretary of
the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Saeed Jalili, will take
place in Istanbul from January 21-22.
