The Head of the Regional Public Chamber, Chairman of the Committee on
legislation, law and nation-building of Dagestan, Seiful Isakov, has
commented to RIA-Dagestan on the process of DASSR becoming a part of
the RSFSR.
Seiful Isakov has noted, that the decision to join the RSFSR on the
20th of January in 1921 has been fruitful for Dagestan ever since.
This event has marked the becoming of the statehood in Dagestan. The
Constitution of Dagestan was introduced in the beginning of December
1921 and was the first written law in the history of Dagestan.
According to Seiful Isakov, at the moment Dagestan is a rapidly
developing capitalist republic which sees its future inseparable from
Russia.
