Turkish premier to visit Kyrgyzstan

The prime minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will discuss with
the leadership of Kyrgyzstan the development of bilateral economic
cooperation during his visit to Bishkek in early February, RIA Novosti
reports, citing a government spokesman.

A business forum will be held during the visit. It will be attended by
members of the delegation of the Turkish government and
representatives of leading Turkish business organizations to discuss
the possibility of trade and investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan
and Turkey.

A coup took place in Kyrgyzstan in April, in which power passed into
the hands of a provisional coalition composed of opposition party
leaders. Former President Kurmanbek Bakiyev left the country and found
refuge in Belarus.
